The spasms, she lamented, "impact every area of my everyday life, sometimes making it impossible for me to walk and preventing me from using my vocal chords to sing the way I used to."

Dion said that she will be delaying the start of her "Courage" tour, which was originally scheduled to begin in February.

Rigid muscles and uncomfortable muscle spasms are symptoms of stiff person syndrome, which can be brought on by factors like light touch or loud noises.

It is believed to be an autoimmune illness, while the cause is unknown.
